Technology

History

Usage of technology banned about a thousand years ago, after the breaking. During the breaking, most cities were destroyed along with much of the tech and people inside. The people left were told the use of technology caused the breaking, and so not many were keen to continue using it anyways.

Modern Technology Usage

It is forbidden in Cadia to investigate or study any old technology, it’s said to be quite dangerous and that the technology itself self-destructed, leading to the downfall of the old cities and kingdoms.

In Neian, some artifacts are still kept, though there was an agreement with the Kingdom of Cadia to have no official or funded studies of any technology. This was done in exchange for the more powerful kingdom (Cadia) leaving Neian alone and not to infringe on their borders, though Neian still allows civilians to explore any ruins or technology they may find. Arsanaig has a similar agreement but, like Cadia, forbids the study of technology. The Free Cities actively study old technology.
